The Bali Agent’s internal team, who usually work behind the scenes to curate the best experiences for our guests, finally took a day to try one of the activities we often recommend: the E-Bikes Cycling Tour in Ubud. It was the perfect chance for us to step away from our daily routine, enjoy some fresh air together, and experience an activity just like our guests do. We did this little adventure last August 2025, and honestly, it turned out to be even more fun than we expected.
We started the morning at 9 AM, gathering at the meeting point in Ubud. After a quick introduction and a simple briefing on how to use the e-bikes (super easy, by the way!), we were ready to roll. The ride began through peaceful village roads, exactly the kind of scenery that instantly reminds you why Bali is so magical.

Our first destination was a local village temple. The guide explained the meaning behind the temple’s layout and how the locals perform their daily prayers. It was such a nice moment to slow down, learn something new, and really appreciate the culture around us.
Rice Terrace Views at Tegalalang
Next, we continued our ride towards the famous Tegalalang rice terraces. Once we arrived, the guide shared stories about local farmers, the irrigation system, and the daily life of people who work in the fields. It was simple, but so grounding. Not far from the rice fields, we made another stop, this time at a small swing spot overlooking the terraces. A few of us tried the swing, laughing like kids again while enjoying the view.
Coffee Tasting Experience
The adventure continued as we cycled to a coffee tasting spot. The staff introduced us to different types of drinks: coffees, teas, chocolates, and even some herbal blends. We also got a short tour around the area and saw several civet cats (luwak) being cared for.
Then came the best part, 16 tasting samples to try! Yes, sixteen. We tasted everything from rosella tea to coconut coffee, and everyone had their own favorite.
Lunch Time + Waterfall Stop
After the tasting session, we cycled back to the meeting point and were driven to a charming lunch spot included in the tour package. Everyone chose their meal earlier, so the food came quickly and hit the spot after a full morning of cycling.
To end the day, we visited one more highlight: Tegenungan Waterfall. Cooling off with the sound of rushing water was the perfect finale.
